For some reason all my kitsune end up in autumn themes or colors o.o;; I don't know why.. Anyways, I just felt like drawing an elegant kitsune. I also saw an umbrella similiar to that somewhere and thought it was the neatest idea so want to try it out. Afterall, kitsune would be closer to nature wouldn't they? HollyAnn! She's been such a sweetheart from the first day I met her, so this is sort of a thank-you pic. (Actually, she had started it by unexpectadly emailing me a while ago with a pic she drew of Xian! 0_o). So here's her character...with wings. Ok, she normally doesn't have them, but I couldn't resist. This is Marker and colored pencil..I tried to avoid outlining anything in ink, and let shadow and color define shape.

A collaboration between myself and Wolf Nymph I did the lineart, and she did a wonderful job on the coloring! This has been my first experience with a collaboration, and it was a lot of fun =) Its really interesting to see what other artists' interpretations are like, and to mix two styles in one piece. =) The original is painted with acrylics on 11"x14" illustration board, and will be available at the art show at All Fur Fun this weekend, and both Katie and I will be offering prints =).
